Kris Donate, a graduate student in Computer science, is building a semantic search engine to help student App development teams find App and domain relevant info on the web. Fifty five students from engineering, urban planning and arts are working together this semester in building Android smart tablet Apps for urban planning. Students from different backgrounds tend to view the same concept differently; a good semantic engine (built with both top-down domain analysis and bottom-up foksonomy buildup) will help the students understand the concepts easier and work better as a team. Kris will document her work here. For our earlier work on semantic web, see our site.
